Visit the Town Beach of Choroní
Choroní is a charming colonial beach town located in the state of Aragua, 50 kilometres away from the city of Maracay. To get to Choroní, you have to take a narrow winding road over the cloud forest mountains of the Henri Pittier National Park before descending to the sea. Near Choroní, it’s Puerto Colombia, a small colonial-style fishing village that has a beautiful sand beach with many coconut trees. Here you can also go on a boat ride and visit other places located along the coastline; for example, the fishing village of Chuao that is accessible only by sea. In Chuao, you can visit the coffee plantations and enjoy tasting the hand-crafted chocolate produced here. Chuao’s cacao beans are world renowned for their high quality. The village of Cepe is another place of interest that we recommend visiting when coming to Choroní.
- -Choroní has one of the most beautiful beachsides in Venezuela.
